The immediate task is to coordinate to organize bilateral surveys of pairs of border gates that the two sides have proposed to open and upgrade within the framework of the 9th Vietnam-Cambodia Conference on Cooperation and Development in border provinces. and the 10th time, in order to exchange and agree with each pair of concerned provinces on the policy as well as a roadmap to open and upgrade each specific pair of border gates in the future.
In addition, to facilitate the coordination of border work in the new situation, at this meeting, the two sides agreed to report to the two governments to allow the drafting of the "Agreement on Border Checkpoints and Regulations. to regulate the border gate management on the Vietnam - Cambodia mainland "in order to consolidate and further develop friendly and traditional relations and promote cross-border trade between the two countries.
The Vietnamese side will soon give the Cambodian side a draft of this agreement for study. At the end of the meeting, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding to record the results of the exchange and agreed to hold the next meeting of the Working Group in the second quarter of 2020.
